Governor’s Cup Competition Receives Record Number of Business Plans
NCET is pleased to announce that the 4th Annual Donald W. Reynolds Collegiate Business Plan Competition is setting new records in 2008!

- A record number of business plans - 48 - versus 44 plans in 2007.
- A record number of entries - 24 - for the Lt. Governor’s Award, presented to the business plans that best employs clean, renewable or efficient energy technologies and services. The Lt. Governor’s Award received 16 entries in 2007.
- A record number of disciplines participated this year. In addition to teams from a wide range of Business and Engineering majors, business plans were also submitted from students and teams from Journalism, Biology, Biochemistry, History, Hotel Management and Fine Arts programs.
- A significant increase in the number of students per team, as teams take advantage of the rule that awards extra points to inter-disciplinary teams.
Finalist will be announced on Wednesday, April 2, and winners will be announced on Friday, April 25 at the Awards Luncheon at the Green Valley Ranch in Las Vegas. Please contact Emily Lowe at Emily@NCET.org or 775-337-3328 for table and individual ticket sales.
