TMCC to Host Annual Business Plan Competition
Event Needs Judges to Succeed
Truckee Meadows Community College’s School of Business and Entrepreneurship will host its 3rd Annual Business Plan Competition, which will being with informational meetings in September and conclude with oral presentations given by the six finalist teams and an award ceremony on Feb. 4, 2010. Currently, the college is seeking judges to ensure the event’s success.
The competition’s goal is to encourage the importance of developing high quality business ideas and business plans, as well as to provide students with resources not only to write comprehensive, complete and concise strategies but to also see those plans implemented within the community. The competition will include students from TMCC, TMCC High School, University of Nevada, Reno (UNR), Western Nevada College (WNC) and Sierra Nevada College (SNC).
The winners of last year’s TMCC Business Plan Competition placed third at the Donald W. Reynolds Governor’s Cup Collegiate Business Plan Competition held by Nevada Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology (NCET).
