The President's Innovation Challenge at the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) is an invitation for undergraduate and graduate students to come together and tackle the issues of our time. Joining a student organization can help you expand and enhance your educational experience, build self-confidence, gain leadership skills, and learn how to work as part of a team or group. The College of Southern Nevada (CSN) is always looking for vendors, so if you're a local business looking for a new partnership, the Business Information Buffet (BIB) podcast is an informative and entertaining exploration into the ideas, motivation, and journey of inspiring entrepreneurs in the Las Vegas Valley. The Lee School of Business also encourages students to join one of the many clubs and organizations associated with the faculty. The UNLV Economics Club was created to foster relationships between students and professionals in the academic and business world.
It seeks to help students who are interested in pursuing careers in financial entrepreneurship (cryptocurrencies, trading, investments, 26% of the real estate sector), business analysis (banking, sports betting, healthcare), programming languages or those who want to take advantage of technology and technical skills to identify, find, and take advantage of financial opportunities. The RVF is the UNLV venture capital (VC) fund that makes equity investments in high-growth private companies in Las Vegas and Southern Nevada. The Beta Alpha Psi Theta Omicron section at UNLV provides students studying financial information with the opportunity to develop their careers while they are still studying. The Blackstone LaunchPad group at CSN works to cultivate a culture of innovative entrepreneurship in the Las Vegas community by organizing events and programs that help a diverse student population gain the experience needed to create and maintain a successful business. More than 60 students from UNLV, the Clark County School District, and CSN attended the summit which included a tour of the Cyber Escape Room - the first education and awareness facility of its kind in the United States. The National Cyber Security Foundation (NCSF) is also looking to collaborate with leaders in Las Vegas and Reno to set up a statewide task force in Nevada to amplify the impact of cyber education programs across the state.
In collaboration with UNLV's Department of Accounting, this chapter provides information on different companies and firms in Las Vegas and guides students towards starting their professional careers. Race organizers provided updated information on traffic conditions before and during Formula Las Vegas Grand Prix week. Currently there are more than 6,000 cyber jobs available in Nevada - 4,085 of which are located in the Las Vegas metropolitan area alone. A major contributing factor to this problem is that Las Vegas has one of the highest levels of tourism in the country resulting in an abundance of waste throughout the city.
